Lykia Links Golf Course all of the 18 holes have commanding views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountain peaks of the Toros Range inland. Being one of the 300 links courses of 36.000 golf courses worldwide, its an honour and a real first for Turkish Golf. The style Pete Dye is bringing to Turkey can be seen in other great courses he has designed – Harbour Town, Whistling Straits and Kiawah Island Ocean Course. The best of the best!
It will offer the finest in Scottish Links golf with loads of pot bunkers, rye grass and elevated tees threading their way through mountainous sand dunes.
Holes 13 – 16 are dramatically placed in the dunes and hole 17 – the signature hole a tricky par 3 is like the postage stamp at Royal Troon. This is the only links course in Turkey and a real peach!
This great golf course is opening on 1 September 08 and the image shown on this website are of Whistling Straits – a famous Pete Dye course designed by the same architect in Chicago on Lake Michigan, we are told that it will be the same style and quality! Early signs are very promising.
